Dive 1 - From Bow and Back Date : Day 1 - 09:38 Place : Larnaca - Zenobia Visibility : 30m Temp: Air : 28 C Water : 26 C

First dive on the Zenobia, to say I was looking forward to this dive would be an understatement.

I arrived at Dive-In around 8am having dropped off my kit the day before.

The RHIB was already waiting on the road. For the first dive of the day, all you had to do was setup your rig and dump it on the RHIB. They would then go launch the RHIB in the water (2 mins walk down the road) and you would join it when you were ready.

My buddy for the first dive was Tanya who turned up for a days diving. Our guide was Sherie and we were joined by 3 guys doing their DM with a couple of instructors, so we were told to ignore any silly anctics they would be getting up to.

It was a 5 min ride out to the Zen where we kitted up and rolled in.

WOW, you could see her as soon as you stuck your head in, laying on her side stretching out into the distance. We descended all the way down the bow line to 18m to do our final checks since this was our check-out dive.

Everything OK we carried on. For this dive we swam down over the bridge, along the accommodation looking through the windows, and continued along the ship until we reached just over half way where the back of the car deck exits.

We then turned the dive and slowly headed back. I was struggling to get any decent filming in since I was trying to take it all in at the same time. This was my first real wreck dive, and what a wreck it was!!!

By the time we'd got back to the bow line, I was already looking at 7mins of deco on my Viper, oops! Then again, I did have it set to P1. That was it, next dive would be on Nitrox, stuff the suppliment.
